But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Dear friend,

“Who led them by the right hand of Moses, with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them to make for Himself an everlasting name” – Isaiah 63 v 12

Making known the name of the Lord is a common theme in Isaiah chapter 63. Indeed, throughout all Scripture, extreme emphasis is placed on the importance of lifting His name on high. Now, does Jesus require the declaration of His name for egotistical reasons? Of course not! You see, the magnifying of His name is not for His sake, but for our own.

It is through calling on His name, that we are saved. It is through declaring His name, that demons recoil, sickness takes flight and oppression retreats. The name of Jesus abolishes darkness, bringing redemption and freedom to the captive soul. It is in His name that we prevail against the devil and his forces, emerging as “more than conquerors” through Him who loves us. Today, lift the name of Jesus on high. His name is a weapon, forged through the suffering of the cross, emblazed with glory through the resurrection from the grave. "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" we read in 1 Corinthians 15 v 55. Share His name with others, that through believing in that matchless name, they too may find the freedom you rejoice in.

We met 47-year-old Lucy Mpuvu on the second day of our Gospel Crusade in BURGERSFORT, Limpopo. Previously a witchdoctor, she gave her life to Jesus in 1990. Well acquainted with the miracle-working ability of Her Lord, Lucy came expecting a touch from heaven. “I have had severe pains in my spine for many months now. I could not walk long distances and I could not do my daily chores.” Sitting in the crowd, she experienced a life-changing encounter with Almighty God.

“While the evangelist was preaching, I could feel the pain disappearing,” she shared. Ecstatic, Lucy could not contain her emotions. “I was so happy, I started dancing! I cannot explain how wonderful I feel, the pain is completely gone.” She is now determined to share her testimony with others and to preach the Gospel. “I want to tell people about Christ. I want to preach with power and boldness.” Rejoicing in the Lord, Lucy is ready to make known the name of Jesus to all she encounters.
