Little girl upon his lap
She helped her grandpa cry
Her quietude ensconced to wrap
That old man's lonely sigh

With welcome smile she caught at hope
To mail into his heart
The strength enough to rise and cope
With loss when love depart

Beautiful intrinsically
Love's shaft cut through the pain
And heart met heart to clearly see
Love really could remain
