Editor's Letter

From a grateful heart

I want to start with a very big "Thank you" to all our subscribers and readers. Our December issue almost sold out across the country! When we received the news, we immediately held a thanksgiving service amongst the staff. How wonderful to know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who cares about us, who loves us, who blesses us , who encourages us. We are so privileged.

It is amazing to note that the new JOY! Is just over a year old! We have some exciting news for you - as from this issue we will be publishing every 6 weeks. Thanks to your support and the sales, we can confidently move forward. We ask our subscribers to take note of this as your renewals will come up sooner. Please renew as we would hate you to miss a copy. Thank you to all the readers who look out for the magazine in the stores and complain to the managers when they can’t find them. Your efforts have made a huge difference — please don’t stop. Your requests don’t fall on deaf ears. The more stores we get into, the greater our influence on society. We have regular intercession times every Wednesday whereby we seek God’s wisdom and direction for each issue. We pray for our readers who write in requesting help and we pray for our advertisers, for their success and sales of their products and services. We pray for upcoming conferences and that lives that will be changed. We pray for missionaries and ministers connected to us. We give thanks for our loyal contributors. We are grateful that we can express our thanks to God. Prayer is the most wonderful gift the Lord has given us. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Phil 4:6)

I want to make it known that without the help of our Lord Jesus Christ, JOY! Magazine would not be on the shelves. I am purposely keeping a journal noting the regular miracles that take place here. One day we will publish some of these stories. What a mighty God we serve!

Please also note that in this issue we are confronting a major moral issue with regards to the advertising billboards popping up in the major cities. Please don’t be offended by the pictures but join us in this battle against evil. Pray for us, as when one confronts evil one can expect a reaction. Your prayers are vital to this ministry.
