Celebrate Life!

Life is such an incredible gift.

Think for a moment how wonderfully made you are, ponder on your abilities, talents, skills and emotions.  Give thought to how your body functions, the great detail and design. Now stretch your mind even further to all the different animals, insects, fish, and move on to the flora of the world.  Lastly concentrate on the most memorable sunset you have ever seen — it almost becomes too much to absorb.  To think that when God created all this He had one goal in mind and that was to create a place for man to live!  He so desired a family that would love Him and have fellowship with Him that He went to all the trouble of preparing a place that would sustain His prize.  He even went so far as to give us free will – He wanted us to love Him for who He was and not simply because He made us.  He breathed His life into us because He thinks we are worth it. When sin entered the world, it didn’t take God by surprise, He already had a plan – Jesus, our precious Saviour, who died for mankind’s sin. Jesus came to teach man how to live and celebrate life and how to have a relationship with God. God ensured that Jesus’ life was recorded and safeguarded even to this day and until He comes again. He sent the Holy Spirit to live amongst us so that we would be constantly aware of His presence and His promises.  The Holy Spirit guides us into all Truth, fills us with Godly desires and direction.  God knew we would need Him to live victorious lives. He never planned for us to just exist and become pride-filled, to take creation for granted and do what we want in the time allocated to us.

I want to challenge every born-again, Spirit-filled Christian to lead at least one person to the Lord this year, to share the Gospel message with someone who doesn’t know Jesus and to teach them about the Holy Spirit.  Tell them what is to come and pray for them diligently.

Celebrate life by sharing the most precious and important reason for us being here – to grow in Christ-likeness and reach the lost for Jesus. Don’t wait for another opportunity—Now is the time!  “Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season!”  2 Timothy 4:2
