Whose Report Will You Believe?

Isaiah 53:1 “Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”
Dear Reader
Welcome to this the 4th issue of the new JOY! Thank you for all your wonderful letters and words of encouragement that you have sent us. We appreciate it so much. It is so amazing
How motivating it is to hear genuine words of kindness and appreciation.
As brothers and sisters in Christ are all called to encourage one another, to lift each other up and to stand in the gap and pray for one another. To love one another as Christ loves us.
We at JOY! Offices have recently really witnessed the power of this love and the mighty hand of our Faithful God. One of our staff members is four months pregnant and
Was recently given a very negative report on the condition of her developing foetus. The doctor did a routine sonar scan and was not pleased at all with what he saw. He explained the options available to them and sent them home. What a blow to the expectant couple and their family and what an anxious state to be left in.
We have however witnessed such incredible love demonstrated toward them from their Pastor, their leaders, their spiritual family and all their friends. How many times have we heard the familiar sound of her cell phone beeping with a message of love and encouragement? Beautiful scriptures being sent to remind this couple that God is mightier than any Doctor’s report and that they are in His hands. Being encouraged daily to pray and stand even in the midst of such trial. Their Church leaders set aside a day to pray and fast for this family and to ask the Lord to bless them, to give them a perfectly healthy and normal precious child and to protect them from all evil. What a wonderful example of the Church at work
Hallelujah!!!!! Praise the Lord, its two weeks later and we have just heard that they got a second opinion and the baby is absolutely perfect!! Bless the Lord for His faithfulness.
Isn’t it wonderful to be a child of God and to know with absolute certainty that Jesus loves us and hears our prayers. He simply responds to our faith. I encourage you today that if you are facing a trial to call upon your spiritual family to pray with you and expect God to act. He will never leave nor forsake you.
With love in Christ
Erin
