God's Order
Well it is that time of the year again when we have to write down our goals for 2009. In my own life, I find it quite overwhelming to do this, as my mind just races with all the things I feel I have to achieve. Do I plan my personal goals first? Do I look at JOY! Magazine’s goals and then plan mine? What about our new JUIG! Magazine being launched in April? Where will my family goals fit in etc, etc.
My prayer list has become quite extensive so where do I begin? Fortunately I know the Word of God and He says we must seek Him first. When we spend time with the Lord and seek His instructions, everything falls into place and in the correct order. The Bible tells us to call upon the Holy Spirit to help us with our prayers, “...for we do not know not what we should pray for, but the Spirit (Himself) makes intercession for us according to the will of God.” Rom 8:26,27.
Peter Hammond has written a great article this month on The Will of God (Pg 38) and Chris Peppler has added to that with his article on How to Walk in the Ways of the Lord. (Pg 40). Neither writer consulted each other before they submitted their articles, so I knew God wanted this message conveyed in this issue of JOY! Pure Christianity (Pg 24) clarifies God’s purpose for us to grow increasingly into the likeness of Christ and carry out His will on earth.
We are aware of the many couples struggling to have children and we trust that our article and testimonies on infertility (Pg 58-63) will bring encouragement and comfort.
