God is good
Shout to the Lord for He is great and greatly to be praised! We at JOY! have so much to be grateful for again and want to honour God for His reward and favour. We have just received the news that our February issue, with Joel Osteen on the cover, has broken all previous JOY! sales records. It sold out all over South Africa and many readers were calling the office looking for copies. (To avoid disappointment we strongly encourage you to subscribe). We are listed at 2500 stores nationally but folks still phone in to say that they can’t find the magazine. We are aware that certain chain stores sell out very quickly and do try our best to stay on top of this. It is not always easy. Please pray for our distributors, RNA.
We anticipate this issue will sell like hotcakes in Pietermaritzburg and KZN as not only are we covering the Mighty Men’s Conference and Angus Buchan, but also Skonk Nicholson, a well-loved legendary figure in KZN. We were so blessed by his baptismal photograph. (see page 75). Then enjoy a reader’s gripping testimony of a Lion Attack – it will keep you riveted.
We also have pleasure in publishing a lovely article – Your Pastor and You, an encouraging word from a retired pastor’s wife. We all need to read and internalise this wise advice.
And lastly, Easter is upon us so we hope you enjoy Turn Good Friday into God Friday. What a wonderful opportunity to bring the crucifixion and Jesus’ resurrection into remembrance and to celebrate our Lord and Saviour. It is an opportune time to witness to others and share the Gospel. Let us teach our children and grandchildren that Easter is not about bunnies and chocolate eggs but about Jesus Christ.
