Let's Pray!

2008 has arrived and we are all wondering where the time has gone? The one thing we all share in common is the fact that we all only have 24 hours per day – the difference is what we accomplish in those 24 hours. Let us be productive for the Gospel – all that we can take with us to heaven are those whom we led to Christ, or had a hand in leading to Christ. No one comes to Christ without someone praying. So this year let’s make it a priority to ‘pray our leaders into the Kingdom’.
Firstly let’s pray that they come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour and secondly that they may be led by His Wisdom. The results could be awesome and all citizens of this beautiful country of ours would benefit. Whenever you hear negative speech or feel insecure, just close your eyes and make your requests known to God. He is faithful to hear us and to ensure that His Will is done. Jesus said:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
We have some exciting news for you – as from this issue we are going monthly. We have been publishing every 6 weeks until now but because of your faithfulness and loyalty to JOY!, we have been pressurised to add extra editions. Thank you for your support, we would be nowhere without you. Each issue will be dated from now on too, which I know will please many.
This also means, hopefully, that we will be able to publish more of the submissions we receive. Please may I request that you read our ‘Writers Guidelines’ first before sending your material to us? It will give you a better chance of seeing your work in print. You can view the guidelines on our website under FAQ (frequently asked questions)
www.joymag.co.za or you may request a copy from our offices.
One last question - where are all the brides?
It is very unusual; we have only received one photograph these past 2 months. Normally we are hard-pressed to fit them all in. Please share your big day with our readers, we like to pray for your marriage and for you. This also applies to those celebrating anniversaries. Don’t be shy, send in your pic’s.
God bless you and may 2008 be the best prayer year you will ever experience.
Love
Erin
