I have been watching some documentaries on TV that cast doubt on just about everything I have been taught about Jesus and the Bible. For example, Jonah and the whale and Noah's Ark. I feel frustrated about whether we need to believe everything in the Word of God or not.
When I speak to other Christians about sin or tele-evangelists misusing their position, I am told not to judge lest I be judged. But the Bible says that judgment begins in the house of God. What is the biblical response?
My church encourages the congregation to get involved in the meetings and activities. Sometimes though, it feels like I am attending out of duty (fear of disappointing others) rather than desire. How do I balance ‘performance’ with ‘expectations’?
