Question:

I am a born-again child of the Living God. I am 56 years old and have never married. What I would like to know is: Must I remain single (I am not gay), without a close friend and companion, and live in constant sexual frustration for the rest of my life?

Answer:

The Word has a specific instruction for single people in 1 Cor 7. It is acceptable in the Lord's sight to remain single (v.7,8) - and it is acceptable to be married. The choice lies with the individual and their discerning of the Lord's Will for their life.

However, if someone wishes to remain single, but finds it sexually frustrating, the Word on It is clear: "If they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion."

Many folks have married late in life and found fulfilment and companionship. Why not talk this over with the Lord?
