Dear Friend,
Abraham had been given a promise by God, a crazy, outlandish, impossible promise. In Romans 4 v 20 - 21 the Bible speaks of him not wavering as a wind-driven sea, but rather being steadfast in faith.

"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."

His misstep with Hagar (Genesis 16) was perhaps more the result of an impatient desire to "help God out a bit" than a sign he doubted the ability of God to accomplish His word. What is interesting to note, is what resulted from his refusal to waver in unbelief. By refusing to doubt, the faith of Abraham experienced a growth spurt – his faith grew stronger, not weaker! He was strengthened in faith, the Bible states. What an awesome concept. To the unwavering believer, trials have the potential to function as hot houses, creating environments in which our faith can grow and thrive. If challenges are embraced, rather than faltered at, our faith will grow under adversity. Such is its nature.

True belief is not believing for a moment, then doubting for a moment, then believing for a moment again. This is not faith. This is unbelief, producing as much effectiveness and courage as storm-tossed waves would comfort a sea-sick passenger. Faith has the ability to use adverse circumstances as a catalyst for growth. Embrace the adversity, refuse to doubt and enjoy a faith explosion. What an adventure, what a challenge!

The story of Petros Mamaleka exemplifies exactly this – unwavering faith and belief that whatever God has promised, He shall certainly bring to pass. Surely, you will be blessed by her testimony.
Yours in Him,

Unwavering Faith
Having trusted God for over a decade for her complete healing, 55-year-old Petros Mabaleka from Mount Fletcher had no doubt in her mind that Jesus would answer her plea. Obediently, she kept praying and waiting in faith.

Unable to work since 1997 due to excruciating body pains, Petros had no-one to help her take care of her three children, her husband having passed away. Although her daily struggles threatened to overwhelm, she knew Jesus would make a way. She trusted Him with her life, clinging to the assurance that her Saviour would never let her down.

Her home being located in close proximity to the crusade grounds, Petros could hear everything that was taking place on the first night. She thought to herself, “I also want to be healed, I need to be there!”  She could not contain the excitement and curiosity in her spirit. “I heard how people were being prayed for and getting healed. I am old and sick, and I also wanted to be healed,” she says.
Then, something amazing happened to Petros after she went to sleep. “God confirmed to me through a dream that night that I must go to the crusade.” She immediately knew that she was about to receive her miracle. “The next evening, even though it was difficult, I came walking to the crusade.”

In faithfulness to Jesus, Petros came – and she received a double portion of miracles! Having had a traumatic childhood of abuse and neglect, God had more in mind for her than merely the healing of physical aches and pains. “During the prayer I could feel the physical healing taking place, but I was more in awe of the emotional healing,” she says.

With thankfulness and tears of joy streaming from her eyes, Petros confesses, “ I was not okay. Bad things happened in my life that I know God will help me move on from. This crusade changed my life. I can only say that Jesus is so wonderful!"

One touch from our precious Lord is enough to heal the deepest of hurts, whether that even we cannot see. One touch from Him and our lives are forever changed. This is our Savour, this is our Jesus!
